Closeness: 'Human-way'

Define closeness, how to measure the closeness of two beings. Options galore, I am struggling to choose the appropriate:

“Closeness is a common trait shared by two or more living beings, which define the sensitivity of their association. Two close beings are bound to remain close forever and ever"

Are two beings close:

• If they meet frequently?

• If they belong to same culture?

• If they converse in a common language amidst a group of others?

• If they share a thread with one others family?

• If they share thoughts, with keenness to learn about each other?

• Is it a measure of the depth of thoughts, which binds the two minds?

• If they like to share their life with rarely seen vigour?

• If each one believes they have the power to define the other, in their absence?

• If each one believes they can stand up for the sake of others in their absence?

• If the name of other, by itself ignites sparks within themselves

The list could be infinite....!!!

“Any human action involving a co-being is a complex analogy, right to be defined them together only...”

“Some relations see light, not because they traversed through a dark tunnel, but it never saw the other side, on the contrary, some relations wade themselves through the challenges strewn through their journey, not with the hope to see light, but with desire to travel together In pursuit of light”

Each would want other to burn themselves to lighten other’s path; they end up sharing the burden equally

The pursuit of that light is a journey, the intensity may vary never would they doubt one another’s effort to energize it

I wish all sincere “close” relationships never end in a light-house; they shall see only enough light to guide them “In Pursuit of the elusive light”

The cool Soother..!!!

Something that came a cool soother, when I was in disarray yesterday(Nov 22, 2010) not for one but a variety of reasons ...

Release the hurt. Release the fear.
Refuse to entertain those old pains.
The energy it takes to hang onto the past,
Holds us back from a great new life… ! ! !

Not sure who coined this and I don't want know as well, but I know for sure who passed it to me to make a difference, needless to say things from some folks always makes a difference :) Thanks.....

Three True Rascals

Life moves on, so what if relations are separated by physical miles

Life moves on, so what if the same legs which used to drop in at my friends place no more moves there

Life moves on, so what if the same eyes, which used to peep into my neighbor’s desk every morning turns a blind eye

Life moves on, so what if the same ears which was used to the
call “Naveen” “Naveen”…many times a day stops listening the same

Life moves on, so what if the same taste buds used to have coffee with the two rascals doesn’t feel that taste

Life moves on, so what, if the same nostrils used to be a passive smoker of one rascal now sighs in relief now

Life moves on, so what if many who were jealous of my relation with one of the rascals no more feel so, indeed happy

Life moves on, so what all the morning gossips on the tea table stops from Monday Sept 20th

Life moves on, so what if I don’t send/receive any msg on weekday mornings on whereabouts of one rascal

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have someone to measure the sugar in my coffee

Life moves on, so what if I don’t get to munch on homemade sandwiches and friedrices

Life moves on, so what If I don’t have to show my Aeropostale T-shirt to one rascal

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have a partner to have KFC chickens anymore

Life moves on so what if I have decided not have KFC with anyone else other than one rascal going ahead

Life moves on, so what if my speed buds stops experiencing the thrill of driving a Swift

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have a another chance to be a Bakri killer on the famed Pondy trip with two rascals

Life moves on, so what if I no more go to Sarovar to celebrate the magic Friday’s

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have to taste wine again after a long time

Life moves on, so what if I don’t get receive botched up sms reminder about events which were excuses for our parties

Life moves on, so what if I no more send/receive reminders of Casual dress code at workplace

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have someone to talk about Rajini sir and his famous antics

Life moves on so what if I don’t have some to call me Raveena, C-Man, Ice Man…

Life moves on so what if all three rascals have pledged not to visit Sarovar with anyone else

Life moves on, so what I don’t get to dance on deserted highways in beautiful drizzles

Life moves on, so what if there is no one to puke or doze off when I am enjoying the drive

Life moves on, so what even if it is cruel

Sept 3rd 2010 a wonder Friday to commemorate the separation of three rascals, each on their own way…

They will reach their destined goals, they are too good and will surely mess up many lives, also are smart to lighten many minds…

Life truly moves on and has to move on……..!!!

Life moves even If Rascal Jonty is separated from Rascal ‘D’ and Rascal ‘L’ physically

The two lovely rascals, who added so much color to everyone's life around them…are on their way out.

Like all parting hearts we wish to meet very often, which is heart-oath but controlled by circumstances…

We are sure to miss each other, but never far away to relive so much and so much and so much...

No wonder Life has to be momentous especially with friends like the two rascals….it has been ‘moment’ filled life of ‘ou(r)s’ momentous….!!!

Some relationships lasts longer than anything in this world and am proud to say ours would be one irrespective of where it ends, because it would never end…..

Date with Kids from an NGO : Sept 03rd 2010

Seldom does events live upto it expectations, a rationale for that was the Testing CoE date with NAB kids (I hate them to call visually challenged) last friday. With so much build up to the event, I must confess the experience was something to be felt.

Our visit kicked off simultaneously from both locations post lunch, reached the school where NAB kids had assembled by 2:30 PM. The enthusiasm around the vicinity was very evident as we were sporting our volunteer T-shirts and were shining bright.

A bunch of 45 lovely kids from various locations greeted us, as always had to go through a round of speeches from various 'dignitaries', but as things settled down, our volunteers got a chance to interact with the kids and sooner than later all were at home. To start with, we split the group into two(kids and volunteers) and separate activities were conducted in different classrooms.

Starting with introductions, songs, dance, a great start off the block.

Volunteers had got a ball to play a kind of musical chair game with the ball, the game was well received by the kids, lots of special talent were on show, some noteworthy below:

Sangita, had recited a portion of Bhagavad-Gita, not sure how many would do that :)
Srinivas, another kid was an avid singer and was rocking from the word go.
Another kid, she spoke multi languages through her eyes, only because she was unable to talk and her smiles were brighter than any constellations....!!!

The day culminated with volunteers distributing Target bags, the cheer on the kids faces lightened up everyone’s day. All in all the team had a nice time, I would say a satisfying time, something to cherish for long. Atleast that couple of hours there was an effort to make a difference , albeit a small one though.

How can I can end without noting the stellar job the teaching staff perform? They are the real hero's and always behind the scenes. It was then ironic that we staged this event couple of days before the Teachers day(Sept 5th ). We only contribute and devote our time, but the teachers have extended the definition of life beyond what we can thin, forget doing it...

"Million voices can be heard, but everything is mute in-front of Inner voice"....!!!, guess we heard some that day....

A successful date, which left many yearning for more

The Pride of India : SR Tendulkar

The man, The genius..Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is probably the most celebrated citizen of India in the 20th century.

No words are enough to describe this great son, the pride of our country.
There are many who argue his popularity is mainly because of the significance cricket has, but does that matter?

He has catapulted to the pinnacle of success through sheer hardwork and passion. A classic example that success is not far if you intend to do what you love...!!

I may not be great myself to write about him, but his greatness lies in the fact that as Indians growing up with Cricket, he talks to us through his performance, his dedication and commitment.

Below are some quote one would prefer to read than myn :)

************************************************************************
"Nothing bad can happen to us if we're on a plane in India with Sachin Tendulkar on it."
- Hashim Amla, the South African batsman, reassures himself as he boards a flight.

"Sometimes you get so engrossed in watching batsmen like Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar that you lose focus on your job."
- Yaseer Hameed in pakistani newspaper.

"To Sachin, the man we all want to be"
- Andrew Symonds wrote on an aussie t-shirt he autographed specially for Sachin.

“Beneath the helmet, under that unruly curly hair, inside the cranium, there is something we don't know, something beyond scientific measure. Something that allows him to soar, to roam a territory of sport that, forget us, even those who are gifted enough to play alongside him cannot even fathom. When he goes out to bat, people switch on their TV sets and switch off their lives."
- BBC on Sachin

"Tuzhe pata hai tune kiska catch chhoda hai?"
- Wasim Akram to Abdul Razzaq when the latter dropped Sachin's catch in 2003 WC.

Sachin is a genius. I'm a mere mortal.
- Brian Charles Lara

"We did not lose to a team called India...we lost to a man called Sachin."
- Mark Taylor, during the test match in Chennai (1997)

"The more I see of him the more confused I'm getting to which is his best knock."
- M. L. Jaisimha

"The joy he brings to the millions of his countrymen, the grace with which he handles all the adulation and the expectations and his innate humility - all make for a one-in-a-billion individual,"
- Glen McGrath

"I can be hundred per cent sure that Sachin will not play for a minute longer when he is not enjoying himself. He is still so eager to go out there and play. He will play as long as he feels he can play,"
- Anjali Tendulkar

Question: Who do you think as most important celebrity ?
Shah Rukh Khan: There was a big party where stars from bollywood and cricket were invited. Suddenly, there was a big noise, all wanted to see approaching Amitabh Bachhan. Then Sachin entered the hall and Amitabh was leading the queue to get a grab of the GENIUS!!
- Shah Rukh Khan in an interview.

“India me aap PrimeMinister ko ek Baar Katghare me khada kar sakte hain..Par Sachin Tendulkar par Ungli nahi utha Sakte.. “
- Navjot Singh Sidhu on TV

He can play that leg glance with a walking stick also.
- Waqar Younis

Sachin Tendulkar has often reminded me of a veteran army colonel who has many medals on his chest to show how he has conquered bowlers all over the world. I was bowling to Sachin and he hit me for two fours in a row. One from point and the other in between point and gully. That was the last two balls of the over and the over after that we (SA) took a wicket and during the group meeting i told Jonty (Rhodes) to be alert and i know a way to pin Sachin. And i delivered the first ball of my next over and it was a fuller length delevery outside offstump. And i shouted catch. To my astonishment the ball was hit to the cover boundary. Such was the brilliance of Sachin. His reflex time is the best i have ever seen. Its like 1/20th of a sec. To get his wicket better not prepare. Atleast u wont regret if he hits you for boundaries.
- Allan Donald

On a train from Shimla to Delhi, there was a halt in one of the stations. The train stopped by for few minutes as usual. Sachin was nearing century, batting on 98. The passengers, railway officials, everyone on the train waited for Sachin to complete the century. This Genius can stop time in India!!
- Peter Rebouck - Aussie journalist

"Sachin cannot cheat. He is to cricket what (Mahatma) Gandhiji was to politics. It's clear discrimination. "
- NKP Salve, former Union Minister when Sachin was accused of ball tempering

There are 2 kind of batsmen in the world. One Sachin Tendulkar. Two all the others.
- Andy Flower

"I have seen god, he bats at no.4 for India"
- Mathew Hayden

"Commit all your sins when Sachin is batting. They will go unnoticed coz even the GOD is watching"
- A hoarding in England

"Even my father's name is Sachin Tendulkar."
- Tendulkar's daughter, Sara, tells her class her father's name after the teacher informs them of a restaurant of the same name in Mumbai.

Welcome a New Guest : 2007

There comes a time
When you have to welcome a guest
With open arms and hope
Invite the unlikely into our life
There comes a time
When you wonder about the past
Wander in the present
Ponder over the future
There comes a time
When you will wish all and curse none
Smile at most, cherish the moments
There comes a time
When time becomes the most awaited factor

Alaa one such time is here for sure
Wish you and all around you a very Happy New Year 2007....

What Matters in Life

Below was the thought flew in thru when an event was narrated (captured in the second section below)

****************************************************************************

Numbers might be small
But deed is a mall
Whatever you say
For every question of you
I am trying save a life.
Join me in this journey
Else be a part of autonomy
Which states that I am is today
Rather I am everything on everyday...

Today or tomorrow we have to disappear
But a better way would be to leave behind a trailer
Not to show what we might do later
But a thought in other heart to provoke our matter

What leaves on is our legacy
In this world of conspiracy

****************************************************************************

A man was walking down the beach at sunset. As, he walked along, he saw
another man in the distance. He noticed this man kept leaning down, picking
up something and throwing it out into the water, again and again. As, he
approached even closer, he noticed that the man was picking up starfish
that had been washed up on the beach. He was throwing them back into the
water, one by one.
Puzzled, he approached the man and said,
"Good Evening. I was wondering what you are doing."
"I'm throwing these starfish back into the ocean. You see, it's low tide
and all these starfish have been washed up onto the shore. If, I don't
throw them back into the ocean, they'll die up here from lack of oxygen."
"But, there must be thousands of starfish on this beach. You can't
possible get to all of them. And, don't you realize this is probably
happening on hundreds of beaches all up and down this coast. Can't you see
that you can't possibly make a difference?"
The man bent down and picked up yet another starfish, and threw it back
into the ocean. With a smile he replied, "Made a difference to that one
                                    !!!"

ust remember, no matter how small the deed
it really does makes a difference.
                          Make a difference today.
Do something nice for someone else,
                         and you will get pleasure.

What I and You should be..

On this Valentine day, does the destiny lie in proving your love or being loved,
On our Independence day, do we have to be Patriots
On your Birthday, do we have to be ourselves?
On my Friends birthday, do we have to live fro them,
On my Parents wedding anniversary, do we have make them feel them proud,

The list of days can be numerous
So does, swell the list of to do’s

But let’s not make a point to win as one motive,
But to live, enjoy and let live with others should be one motive…

Some find solace in money,
Some are obsessed with fame,
Some are crazy with beauty,
Some are mad after others,

But what ever may be their wish,
It will be fulfilled, if it a wish, definitely turning into an well wisher,
For thou, the greatest feel lies in Sacrifice, but for whom is that is What matters…..

Smile...eee

Smile ,the best attire.....
Smile ,the best costume.........
Smile,the best  Perfume...........
Smile,the best  action..............
Smile,the best Solution..........
Smile ,the best medicine..........
Smile,the true emotion............
Smile ,the best when u can Smile.............

Smile is cute when it is spontaneous........but don't explode..........

" But don't smile  when u don't want to...........but again smile should not come with any permission.............................."

Celebrated 'Dodanna'

Hey Dodannna...!!!

One word signifies diverse things
He stands out by his sheer weight

Alibi for Energy
Alibi for Enthusiasm
Alibi for Commitment
To Sum it up a True Alibi for "ATTITUDE"
Attitude is the differentiator and you are definitely
a definitive differentiator.

We joined on the same day, an eventful Jul 09 2007
With exciting prospects lying head
Diverse skills, but the same goal set
It was destiny we paired up, to show and lead what others can
only aspire for

The times we shared are etched in our memories
They will last a life time and sure would inspire many more
Being someone who aim at self less bonding, I feel we achieved that
Innocence Personified (although not true  )
You would see the best wherever you go
Because you are meant to be one among the best

Go On My Pal, the world is a silly playground
And you are mammoth force unleashed to blow away boundaries
When you are done creating your space in vacuum,
I would be happy to be on the other side with my space…..!!!

You helped me to see my celebrated college days at office space
And Thank you so much for that…..

Cheers and All the Best to You Dodannna (Alias..." ")

PS: Dodanna is an alias, the true name behind these thoughts the great "Prem". This thought flow is to celebrate his exit from his current employer and his entry to the next, although all the employers are mere entities that help to etch one's identity and I hope this changes helps him...

High Flying Mummy

Never was I so excited about something. God gave me a friend in Coimbatore only for this I thought.

It was K's wedding at Coimbatore, and for once I felt why not take Mom in the "Aeroplane" as she calls it.

I remember those days when used to listen stories about them, how I vowed travelling on one of them and more than that making Mom an Air traveler.

It all set up perfectly.
After the wedding, we came back to hotel to rest and then off to Coimbatore Airport.

I wanted Mum to soak in the feel and not be guest inside the Airport. As we reached early, well before departure, we sat outside the Airport and recalled her memories on the same.
She was excited and that made me feel that I have achieved something, for all these years there is something which I can boast off.

Enter the Airport, she is curious to know what those boards are, about security check, cabin luggage, the stickers, the ticket and what not.

As we wait for the boarding, she looks on curious travelers and hopefully she realized that her time has come today.

The Perfect setting, a small K-F flight, a shorter journey, well dressed bright Air hostess, as we enter I recall my earlier discussions that it would be similar to her last trip on Volvo bus, where she felt terribly cold.
I made sure she has her sweaters, socks on this time :)

We enter, and no prizes for guessing, she is on the window seat and is fiddling with seat belt.
As the plane starts to move, she peeps out of the window, gauging the speed.
The speed increases and at one point, as we are airlifted, she gushes we are flying now, oh that was Nirvana for me.
Peeping through the window, with the objects beneath disappearing, oh man it reminded me of old days where there was talks about humans, vehicles, buildings looking tiny and she experienced it.

Very composed on her flight, she was at home, I checked in regularly she was just perfect.
There comes the dinner and again I was taken aback by her enthusiasm and appreciation for the food.
Oh how can I forget the well lit Ring Road of B'lore, all the flyovers, amazing
At the touch down point, before I could say, she was up-to the mark to jump the gun. She felt we hit the ground
She waited patiently for the Europeans ahead to give her way and embarked from her maiden journey.

This time I made sure to write feedback for the service, and Mum had only one word for everything "Fine", "Fine" and I did share my thoughts on that form.

For all my salaries, savings, spendings and most importantly time, If I have to rate the most satisfying one, it has to be the Aeroplane tickets and the journey from Coimbatore to B'lore.

She has become an "Air-Traveler" now, a tag which I am proud off.
Mom I did it, I feel satisfied today and Thanks for everything.

Oh Feb 14...

As the world celebrates the Day, As the Love-Birds chirp more loudly, I am left gasping for thoughts.

The day begun as a usual Sunday, where i don't have any clue on how it if gonna wind up, unfortunately there were no plans of my badminton outing.

Done with the morning chores, a chilling news hits the street.
Our Family Doc who was very close to us, passed away due to cardiac arrest. Mom's devastated.
A nice person, whom We(me and Bro) never used to get bored off during our visits to his clinic.
Dad lost a companion whom he was banking upon for any small health issues, his clinic was multi specialty, catered to all.
He never hid his thoughts on how much my dad loves us.
Always playing prank with us.
Supported when I required it most, demolishing the rumors of cancer during my days.
Always a talking point, and open for discussions, a very nice doctor and a human.
He had the midas touch, with my Mum used to feel so much at comfort, now she is worried that there cannot be another like him.

A very warm person, humorous and we would definitely miss him for the rest of our life .

Now Why am I at home writing this, don't I have business on Feb 14 as the world?
Well that can be different post which will sure come up in some time and I hope to do justice to my feelings.

To Sum it up, a Feb 14 worth forgetting, but the doc will not be remembered because he would never be forgotten.

RIP Sir...

Tantrik Mummy...

For most us Mother is the first God and she is the face of numerous good things.
She is responsible for what we are today and her Love plays a crucial role in defining our future.
Fortunate are those who have experienced the Love of Mother through her or some other form, but others I don't know

Now without getting more emotional, back the purpose of this post, the "The Hiccup Mantra"

My Brother a Specimen in many ways (many say, he follows his brother), get hiccups some times and they run very deep.
All the conventional methods of drinking water, diverting his attention, talking does not help to stop.
So to start Mom started using the Scare tactics, which helped couple of times, but then he got used to the treatment and was never distracted after couple of attempts.

No Clue from where Mom came up with new tactic, and don a new role addition to her many roles (Dr, Lawyer, Mechanic, Electronic Engg, the list is huge..)

She picks up pieces of broom sticks, places one his between his fingers (in the leg) and one in hand. Murmurs something and here it is the Hiccups have vanished.

This happened couple of times, so I was thinking this was primarily coincidence.

Last week, the specimen comes running back very early home (10:00 PM), pretty early his standards.
He is suffering from a series of hiccups, has tried all kinds of conventional therapy, but no luck.
He has proudly advocated to his friends that Mom will shove the hiccups away in minutes.
I was curious to know if this works this time also.

Mom steps in like the Lady Hero (She is one), goes through her cores and ALAS the Hiccups vanish.

I am left astounded and no reason for me to doubt the Mantra and She has become a Tantrik also now.

The feathers on her cap never stops multiplying

Cheers to You MOM..
All Mom's are the Best
Now being a bit selfish..You are Best of All
