Dreams do a Vikram

Power imagination is a fascinating aspect of human life. They turn into dreams when the intellect meets the emotional friend.

Imaginations leave a positive vibe, makes us believe that we could expand beyond...

Dreams are like ecstasy, they make you high and crash you hard, the moment you realise it is a dream.

Why do I crash land every time ?
Why do I dream so much ?
Why don't I just imagine ?

The answer lies within me.

Yes, I am a human, who loves to see imagination turn into dream, nurture and love the way dreams unfold and then gets me back to ground zero. Alas, I could dream again. So Human.
What is the fun, you do not dream for the impossible ?

This dream is going to hurt and hurt for a long long time. Just ask ISRO , they are inspired by me.

Rise again to dream big.

The Man - The Confidence - The Hope - The Dhoni....

Umpteen articles have come on the MS Dhoni, poster boy of Indian cricket for the past decade. His achievements un-parallel, his commitment unquestionable. He could be a great case study for numerous institutions. For a common man – he is simply “hope”.

Cricket fever grips our nation, more than any flu could imagine. A viral infection needs to be caught, but cricket attacks every Indian. Blessed have we been to have great players dot this game, walk the 22 yards through generations.

Is there any other emotion, religion, leader or even God, who unites us all? Beyond doubt a “NO”.

Growing up with the hope to see our team win a world cup, dancing with joy whenever Sachin blazes a straight drive and tears in eyes when India loses, what a childhood. I pity this generation who miss them, because they do not want to emulate anyone, instead they want to themselves always. I , Me and Myself…I question who is I ?

The game revolved around one God for us, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. India prayed to him to score every time he walks. He did fulfill the wish to the most. But where he couldn’t is where the personality called “MS Dhoni” stepped in.

India needed a “raw stone” to be unearthed from Jharkhand, one with rough personality, tough looks, bold thoughts and fearless emotions to prove how fairytales end (Sachin’s)

The pinnacle of my cricketing passion, was winning the 2011 world cup, on our home turf, at our Mecca of cricket and at shrine of our God “Sachin”, wonder do I would it have been possible without this personality called “MS”.

He stormed the scene and then settled all the chaos with never seen calmness. Does this man really have human genes? How could remain so calm in any situation, question I. In most cases, it is only one word that answers: “Self-Confidence”

MS could be the synonym for “Self-confidence”, area’s where the great Sachin failed, he took the baton and reached heights maybe impossible to emulate. If MS is at the crease, for most of cricket lovers match is not lost, no matter what the situation is. Is there anything we all could learn from him? People tried his hair style to helicopter shot, maybe they could master that, but the true lesson for all is his “Self-confidence”.

How I wish all of us could be this man in our own fields, but I wonder maybe it is humanely impossible to emulate him.  Even during the 2015 WC semi-final, India in precarious situation, he instills hope and if he had the support, who know he could have turned it around.

Many ask me, what do I get by following the game, they play, they earn, they cheat, they fix etc. I say what they miss by not following this pilgrimage called Indian cricket. No one questions this journey unlike other religions. The sprouts of happiness this game gives us is enough to follow for a lifetime. I rarely see an entire nation moved with one shot, be it straight drive from Sachin or the helicopter by MS.

There is a belief that God’s co-existed with humans on our planet generations ago, maybe we need not go so far. When rest of this game is filled with Humans who either crave for money/fame/controversies/girls or do not know how to control emotions, there existed Gods like Sachin and Dhoni for all to look upto. We heard that almighty takes form of humans to set right evil, I believe these personalities are the form of almighties taken birth to spread one-ness amidst a country filled with citizens craving for materialistic assets.

Life is beyond paper called money. We have to Love All. One to way to do it soak in the atmosphere of this pilgrimage, where Gods like MS spread the message of Unity, Happiness and more importantly show paths towards a meaningful Life.

This defeat of 2015 WC S/F means India lost its tag as world champions, but the greatest trophy for us is the lifestyle of this personality called “MS”. A character beyond a trophy, tag and money. He earns so what, even you could if you are MS, which you and me are not…!!!

One Sachin, started idol worship in cricket, One Dhoni built a temple filled with idols. What a legacy to emulate: Sachin to Dhoni to Who next?

Yes, I am true cricket fan, who is not bothered about the controversies and still try to believe that 11 players representing my nation play their game to the true essence. Try being one, You find some solace…!!!

Dhoni The Man- Dhoni The Confidence – Dhoni The Hope. Hats off “Mahendra Singh Dhoni”

All Said Call Me, She Said I am There...!!!

I am lost for words, searching thoughts and mining emotions. Have hit the bottom

It has been a fascinating flow of emotions, when everyone says “Call me if you need something”, she said “I am there, will be there”

A nice relationship, the one which defied odds, for now makes me feel it would stand the test of time for ever.  We both laugh over on how our relation began, honestly do not recall, but now who cares. I wish everyone finds this depth in their friendship. We always valued our time together, we were there when the other wanted some listening ears. Thousands of miles didn’t deter our belief, in-fact made it tad closer.

Jonty at home for a decade, happy with everything he had, finding solace in all events dotting my home-line. A decade later, here I come to many’s dreamland, truly a wandered, not knowing anything.

For many this was a destination, for me it never figured on the map. Maybe I had to come down to make some moments sweet, to enrich the bond and friends shared. “Yes” One reason God made this year was to spend time with my friend, her family after a long long time. I am an Alien, have so many known faces, known friends, so many so many. Never had I come here expecting anyone’s support, but human mind yearns for mutual thoughts and heart for care and affection.

Everyone called me, vouched their support virtually, told me to call me if you need anything, hey hold, one soul told me, “Jonty I am here, do not worry, I shall come”. She came to see me, not to only help me, but to say do not worry. Most credit goes to her soulmate, he is an example to emulate, an inspiration on how to build a lovable family. I would not have done what she did and continues to do so. She was there every moment, every event

I am blessed I must say, as I have a friend for whom distance doesn’t matter. She drives down 400 miles with her hubby and two little angels, not many would do that.  I do not like calling her “Shan”. Instead “Shant”, my friend. Whatever got us connected only pray stays that way for ever.

Fourteen years, a long time just washed away with your gesture Shant – Thank You…!!!

“Live-Strong” or “Lie-Strong”

An uproar is noticed within the Sporting fraternity , Moral crusaders, Financial gurus, Administrators , Netizens etc today (Jan 2013) over the submission of Armstrong’s strong association with PDE (Performance Enhancing Drugs). Fallen stand his murals, a never seen before achievement , a story of grit and determination that was worth emulating now burnt to rubble.

I sometimes wonder how much of a contribution does PEDs make, are they great enough to turn us into super humans ? maybe it gives an edge over others.

Though there is no denying the fact Lance was a cheat in his sport, but as many have said (including him), doping was a rage among many cyclists then, technically all of them should be super humans. In that regard, for him to stand up post his travails of Chemotherapy is laudable.

As always, a coin has two sides, but this fascinating coin of Lance Armstrong has many facets to it.
Ultimately society would terminate him for being a liar ,a cheat etc but If we equate his efforts towards social movement I would be among the first to hail him as a “Hero”, not for his traits on a cycling road (a false one) but for his effort in showing the world the travails of “Cancer” survivor and mobilizing millions of souls towards its awareness, acceptance, recognition and rejuvenation.

“Sometimes in Life it is difficult to choose between a truth which gets tears as compared to a lie which spreads happiness” Yes he lied so what ?

A classic case of a bad sportsman with no values but a Strong character with never give up spirit. By no matter of trust that he alone signifies the never give up spirit of our extra-ordinary species, there are a innumerable of them. He is not alone , Neither are others.

But there could be only one Lance, don't know if you could be forgiven,  but you gave “Hope” when there was very little.

Welcome..

"Free flow of thoughts often a mirage , but when let loose are myriad"—Jonty

Above foreword defines many but only those who dare to realize reach their destiny...Here in is an effort to lets minds loose and pen flow amidst all the 'busy' chores.
None of us are busy to neglect our true passion, Go on my friends life is too small to go after a handful of things. You widen the horizon, the joy is boundless.
Some of the thoughts may be as small as it may look, but worth a note as it has every right to survive once born.
I hope you all connect to some instances in your own life, but more importantly add another ear when you listen, an extra eye when you watch and a minuscule area of your heart to feel.

Have a great day and life ahead....!!!

Kiddismm....

"Don't act kiddish"

"You are a child"

"Grow up dude"

"You are so immature".....and many more.
I am sure most of us would have been at the receiving end of such comments, some as is and some on similar lines, of course I have....
Ironically, the same person who is seen as matured by one would be seen as immature by others. Now where does this stop ? and who takes a call on deciding one's level of maturity. We don't intend to give such rights to all, the freedom which we one can describe the "Me", Thanks to our Ego'sss....
As we chug the train of life, choice has to be made on :

• Are we daring enough to define, rather redefine the path our life has to take ?

• Are we sober enough to accept the "so called practical inabilities" which tend to control our life ?

It is not tough to note that most prefer the latter, but there still a handful of those who drudge along the unknown and see satisfaction in their actions.

Now relating the “way to lead life” to “maturity”, most who pass comments such are the ones who have are supposedly settled in their life (Ah..not financially which for me is never viable).

Personally, I have certain questions to be asked :

• Why is that longing for some one's time for ever mean kiddish ?

• Why is that expectation is always considered childish?

• Why is that feeling terrible for missing something which I would like to part of is termed as "not grown up"?

• Why is that longing for the innocence and sincerity, at age when you are professionals or parents referred to immature ?

Further, each of us would have come across someone from whom we feel, "Yes, you make this observation, I shall consider it, if not necessarily accepting it ". They tend to provoke a thought. They tend make you think..They tend to make you so many things.

Accepting that special person's thought does not mean I should consider other's opinion, Others…

• Who just don't have the courage to face life by insisting on what makes them happy?

• Who are not sincere to call out their unhappiness when someone/something does not live up to what they want, fearing other's thought about being branded as immature?

• Who are unwilling to accept the fact that expectation is a part of life and life is made more beautiful only when you take the privilege of expecting things from your "Loved one's ?

• Who are keen to accept life's practical limitations are the solution for every unaddressed problem?
For me, I don't want to live in a world, where human emotions and values take back seat. I am unwilling to be termed as kiddish, to those willing to give all kinds of reason's only they don’t know I don’t care. I am more than happy to accept the directions of my heart (which may be emotional), when compared to my mind(termed as sensible)
And finally I choose, unlike others where the reason for accepting anything is termed as being mature...
So, if someone terms you kiddish, don't just brush it aside, try to assimilate on who says and why ?
Why should be secondary, but Who determines the seriousness of thought, as that "Who" is more worried about you and needless to say "They Care"

Thanks to all, who termed me so, they enabled me to brush their thought aside.

Only some's thought stays and make me wonder on where I should grow up and outline my growth plans ala our economy...

Day a year, 5th of September

Day a year, 5th of September

To recall our student life
To buy the stamp, pictured with Dr.Radhakrishnan
Not to dwell into our famed childhood schooled days, but
To spare a moment to recognize all our teachers
Those who are solely responsible, for shaping us
Irrespective of being complete strangers

Those teachers, who made us
Kneel when not completing homework's
Beat on knuckles in case of mis-spelt words
Stand up on bench, when murmuring during class
Call parents, to hand over low scoring report cards

The personalities below etched my life, career, during our days between 5-16 yrs

Kudos to Mary miss, for shaping my handwriting and teaching moral sciences
Kudos to PT master, for developing my sporting culture
Kudos to Uma miss, for supporting during my 3rd standard
Kudos to Chandrashekar for teaching me Hale Kannada
Kudos to Vishalakshi miss, Laksmi miss, Shankarappa sir for making me a Maths punter :)
Kudos Manjula miss, for helping in all admin works
Kudos to Meher madam, Kanmani miss for teaching classy english
Kudos to Kasturi, for making me learn bits and pieces of our national language
Kudos to Shakuntala, for introducing geography and history
Kudos to Aleem sir, for reaching me close to Algebra
Kudos to Faziya madam, for being the most sought after HM and bio teacher
Kudos to aaya, for being there whenever required
Kudos to Vijay sir, for making me worthless

There can be never bad intention in what a teacher may have done
Without them then, I am not what now
They remain forever in my thoughts
They take credit for my deeds
They reap satisfaction in their student's actions
They the, selfless creatures called Teachers

Happy Teacher's day my dear Teachers...!!!

Wedding at Tumkur rekindles a decade old event...

As I attend a wedding event at Tumkur (2011), of one my good old school friend, wandered my mind towards an incident where I turned out to be a heart breaker. Oh before you get into conclusions, let me enlighten you with the actual happening.

It was summer of 2001, I was basking glory of being part fabulous Engg college, the one and only UVCE. Those days begun with Jonty opening the college gate, and closing it as well, with no frills and grills in life, but hey some food for thought was waiting.

Our residence phone number was very popular, kind of fancy types. Buzzed did it once, A pleasant surprise, as I hold the receiver, my ear listens to a very familiar voice, something in which I would had bathed over a period of three years during my high school days. The same naughty feeling all teens go through.

The owner of the voice was my latest, sweet crush then (only crush), I knew her well, knew her sister (not what you are thinking), also knew her mother (OMG no no not again :) ). A lovely family from God's own country, home bound mom, carpenter dad, two beautiful daughters(one my classmate and the other my younger brother's), and a cute little son (into his early primary school) dotted those tiny spacious walls. I was at home between those walls, something am proud off.

Back on track, as my ears sensed the known voice, my mind started painting the beautiful face, a pretty one. Never in my wildest of dreams, I would have thought of what transpired later.

Without much ado, She needed a favor, now is the interesting piece. One of our common friend, guess what proposed to her and she is not keen on taking the relationship forward.
Not sure why she thought about me, to wriggle her out of this, but hey pls understand the other person has been my close associate for a good period of 6 years then. May be that convinced her to reach out to me. That call left me wondering, it did.

Being nice (at least pretending to be) is very dangerous. Never would one realize the aftermath of it, till it hits you hard. I felt a tremor then.

Back in college, amidst the divine atmosphere, wondering was I on what should be done?, two choices to make, each equally tough :

·         Should I get down the burden of confusion from one friend's life, in the process crushing a budding love tale?
·         Should I tie hands with my other friend, try my luck in blossoming the bud?

Oh it was tough choice to make, may be my priorities then helped to choose the path, for which am proud today and not fall for emotions.

Assured did I to the beautiful voice, that I shall handle this, met did I my close associate to understand his feelings, evaluated did I my next steps and facilitated did I a meeting between the two parties. Assuming responsibility to get her out of the house for the meeting, convincing Aunt, I felt a sense of serious responsibility.

The stage was set for Jonty, the moderator between two parties travelling on different boats. In my own style, apprised both, gave them their space to talk in private and waited 10 meters away from the action.

I was playing security for the next 10 mins, but my shoulder was leaning to provide support for the broken heart. A consensus reached, and I was successful in crushing the love bud, How cruel could I be? The sense of responsibility made me feel raise above all, escorted her to the nicey home and Thanked my friend for respecting me and my action.

Back to wedding at Tumkur, you should have guessed by now, it was of my associate whose heart was crushed by me a good decade ago. I was lost in my thoughts, Thanks to my mind for refreshing an interesting incident, which transpired among the three of us so far, till I decide to make it public today.

Now where is she..? The beautiful girl matured into a respectful lady, found her partner a good 6 years ago and is a proud homemaker now.

Nope, I am not a crusader of Love, neither am I protector of it, only believe that true love will always reciprocate, assumes but never sheds the responsibility of the souls towards their loved one’s and society around.

Emotions should never gain the upper hand, rather should always be the supporting hand, was the take away for me then.

As said  "Never take the help of words to show your anger, Never take the help of tears to pour your emotions"

Sorry for breaking your heart & standing on the other shore then. Now if I look back and on your wedding set in 2011, I feel proud to have done the right thing, albeit if I was so ruthless.

Wish you a very happy married life …..

Closeness: 'Human-way'

Define closeness, how to measure the closeness of two beings. Options galore, I am struggling to choose the appropriate:

“Closeness is a common trait shared by two or more living beings, which define the sensitivity of their association. Two close beings are bound to remain close forever and ever"

Are two beings close:

• If they meet frequently?

• If they belong to same culture?

• If they converse in a common language amidst a group of others?

• If they share a thread with one others family?

• If they share thoughts, with keenness to learn about each other?

• Is it a measure of the depth of thoughts, which binds the two minds?

• If they like to share their life with rarely seen vigour?

• If each one believes they have the power to define the other, in their absence?

• If each one believes they can stand up for the sake of others in their absence?

• If the name of other, by itself ignites sparks within themselves

The list could be infinite....!!!

“Any human action involving a co-being is a complex analogy, right to be defined them together only...”

“Some relations see light, not because they traversed through a dark tunnel, but it never saw the other side, on the contrary, some relations wade themselves through the challenges strewn through their journey, not with the hope to see light, but with desire to travel together In pursuit of light”

Each would want other to burn themselves to lighten other’s path; they end up sharing the burden equally

The pursuit of that light is a journey, the intensity may vary never would they doubt one another’s effort to energize it

I wish all sincere “close” relationships never end in a light-house; they shall see only enough light to guide them “In Pursuit of the elusive light”

The cool Soother..!!!

Something that came a cool soother, when I was in disarray yesterday(Nov 22, 2010) not for one but a variety of reasons ...

Release the hurt. Release the fear.
Refuse to entertain those old pains.
The energy it takes to hang onto the past,
Holds us back from a great new life… ! ! !

Not sure who coined this and I don't want know as well, but I know for sure who passed it to me to make a difference, needless to say things from some folks always makes a difference :) Thanks.....

Three True Rascals

Life moves on, so what if relations are separated by physical miles

Life moves on, so what if the same legs which used to drop in at my friends place no more moves there

Life moves on, so what if the same eyes, which used to peep into my neighbor’s desk every morning turns a blind eye

Life moves on, so what if the same ears which was used to the
call “Naveen” “Naveen”…many times a day stops listening the same

Life moves on, so what if the same taste buds used to have coffee with the two rascals doesn’t feel that taste

Life moves on, so what, if the same nostrils used to be a passive smoker of one rascal now sighs in relief now

Life moves on, so what if many who were jealous of my relation with one of the rascals no more feel so, indeed happy

Life moves on, so what all the morning gossips on the tea table stops from Monday Sept 20th

Life moves on, so what if I don’t send/receive any msg on weekday mornings on whereabouts of one rascal

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have someone to measure the sugar in my coffee

Life moves on, so what if I don’t get to munch on homemade sandwiches and friedrices

Life moves on, so what If I don’t have to show my Aeropostale T-shirt to one rascal

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have a partner to have KFC chickens anymore

Life moves on so what if I have decided not have KFC with anyone else other than one rascal going ahead

Life moves on, so what if my speed buds stops experiencing the thrill of driving a Swift

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have a another chance to be a Bakri killer on the famed Pondy trip with two rascals

Life moves on, so what if I no more go to Sarovar to celebrate the magic Friday’s

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have to taste wine again after a long time

Life moves on, so what if I don’t get receive botched up sms reminder about events which were excuses for our parties

Life moves on, so what if I no more send/receive reminders of Casual dress code at workplace

Life moves on, so what if I don’t have someone to talk about Rajini sir and his famous antics

Life moves on so what if I don’t have some to call me Raveena, C-Man, Ice Man…

Life moves on so what if all three rascals have pledged not to visit Sarovar with anyone else

Life moves on, so what I don’t get to dance on deserted highways in beautiful drizzles

Life moves on, so what if there is no one to puke or doze off when I am enjoying the drive

Life moves on, so what even if it is cruel

Sept 3rd 2010 a wonder Friday to commemorate the separation of three rascals, each on their own way…

They will reach their destined goals, they are too good and will surely mess up many lives, also are smart to lighten many minds…

Life truly moves on and has to move on……..!!!

Life moves even If Rascal Jonty is separated from Rascal ‘D’ and Rascal ‘L’ physically

The two lovely rascals, who added so much color to everyone's life around them…are on their way out.

Like all parting hearts we wish to meet very often, which is heart-oath but controlled by circumstances…

We are sure to miss each other, but never far away to relive so much and so much and so much...

No wonder Life has to be momentous especially with friends like the two rascals….it has been ‘moment’ filled life of ‘ou(r)s’ momentous….!!!

Some relationships lasts longer than anything in this world and am proud to say ours would be one irrespective of where it ends, because it would never end…..

Date with Kids from an NGO : Sept 03rd 2010

Seldom does events live upto it expectations, a rationale for that was the Testing CoE date with NAB kids (I hate them to call visually challenged) last friday. With so much build up to the event, I must confess the experience was something to be felt.

Our visit kicked off simultaneously from both locations post lunch, reached the school where NAB kids had assembled by 2:30 PM. The enthusiasm around the vicinity was very evident as we were sporting our volunteer T-shirts and were shining bright.

A bunch of 45 lovely kids from various locations greeted us, as always had to go through a round of speeches from various 'dignitaries', but as things settled down, our volunteers got a chance to interact with the kids and sooner than later all were at home. To start with, we split the group into two(kids and volunteers) and separate activities were conducted in different classrooms.

Starting with introductions, songs, dance, a great start off the block.

Volunteers had got a ball to play a kind of musical chair game with the ball, the game was well received by the kids, lots of special talent were on show, some noteworthy below:

Sangita, had recited a portion of Bhagavad-Gita, not sure how many would do that :)
Srinivas, another kid was an avid singer and was rocking from the word go.
Another kid, she spoke multi languages through her eyes, only because she was unable to talk and her smiles were brighter than any constellations....!!!

The day culminated with volunteers distributing Target bags, the cheer on the kids faces lightened up everyone’s day. All in all the team had a nice time, I would say a satisfying time, something to cherish for long. Atleast that couple of hours there was an effort to make a difference , albeit a small one though.

How can I can end without noting the stellar job the teaching staff perform? They are the real hero's and always behind the scenes. It was then ironic that we staged this event couple of days before the Teachers day(Sept 5th ). We only contribute and devote our time, but the teachers have extended the definition of life beyond what we can thin, forget doing it...

"Million voices can be heard, but everything is mute in-front of Inner voice"....!!!, guess we heard some that day....

A successful date, which left many yearning for more

The Pride of India : SR Tendulkar

The man, The genius..Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is probably the most celebrated citizen of India in the 20th century.

No words are enough to describe this great son, the pride of our country.
There are many who argue his popularity is mainly because of the significance cricket has, but does that matter?

He has catapulted to the pinnacle of success through sheer hardwork and passion. A classic example that success is not far if you intend to do what you love...!!

I may not be great myself to write about him, but his greatness lies in the fact that as Indians growing up with Cricket, he talks to us through his performance, his dedication and commitment.

Below are some quote one would prefer to read than myn :)

************************************************************************
"Nothing bad can happen to us if we're on a plane in India with Sachin Tendulkar on it."
- Hashim Amla, the South African batsman, reassures himself as he boards a flight.

"Sometimes you get so engrossed in watching batsmen like Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar that you lose focus on your job."
- Yaseer Hameed in pakistani newspaper.

"To Sachin, the man we all want to be"
- Andrew Symonds wrote on an aussie t-shirt he autographed specially for Sachin.

“Beneath the helmet, under that unruly curly hair, inside the cranium, there is something we don't know, something beyond scientific measure. Something that allows him to soar, to roam a territory of sport that, forget us, even those who are gifted enough to play alongside him cannot even fathom. When he goes out to bat, people switch on their TV sets and switch off their lives."
- BBC on Sachin

"Tuzhe pata hai tune kiska catch chhoda hai?"
- Wasim Akram to Abdul Razzaq when the latter dropped Sachin's catch in 2003 WC.

Sachin is a genius. I'm a mere mortal.
- Brian Charles Lara

"We did not lose to a team called India...we lost to a man called Sachin."
- Mark Taylor, during the test match in Chennai (1997)

"The more I see of him the more confused I'm getting to which is his best knock."
- M. L. Jaisimha

"The joy he brings to the millions of his countrymen, the grace with which he handles all the adulation and the expectations and his innate humility - all make for a one-in-a-billion individual,"
- Glen McGrath

"I can be hundred per cent sure that Sachin will not play for a minute longer when he is not enjoying himself. He is still so eager to go out there and play. He will play as long as he feels he can play,"
- Anjali Tendulkar

Question: Who do you think as most important celebrity ?
Shah Rukh Khan: There was a big party where stars from bollywood and cricket were invited. Suddenly, there was a big noise, all wanted to see approaching Amitabh Bachhan. Then Sachin entered the hall and Amitabh was leading the queue to get a grab of the GENIUS!!
- Shah Rukh Khan in an interview.

“India me aap PrimeMinister ko ek Baar Katghare me khada kar sakte hain..Par Sachin Tendulkar par Ungli nahi utha Sakte.. “
- Navjot Singh Sidhu on TV

He can play that leg glance with a walking stick also.
- Waqar Younis

Sachin Tendulkar has often reminded me of a veteran army colonel who has many medals on his chest to show how he has conquered bowlers all over the world. I was bowling to Sachin and he hit me for two fours in a row. One from point and the other in between point and gully. That was the last two balls of the over and the over after that we (SA) took a wicket and during the group meeting i told Jonty (Rhodes) to be alert and i know a way to pin Sachin. And i delivered the first ball of my next over and it was a fuller length delevery outside offstump. And i shouted catch. To my astonishment the ball was hit to the cover boundary. Such was the brilliance of Sachin. His reflex time is the best i have ever seen. Its like 1/20th of a sec. To get his wicket better not prepare. Atleast u wont regret if he hits you for boundaries.
- Allan Donald

On a train from Shimla to Delhi, there was a halt in one of the stations. The train stopped by for few minutes as usual. Sachin was nearing century, batting on 98. The passengers, railway officials, everyone on the train waited for Sachin to complete the century. This Genius can stop time in India!!
- Peter Rebouck - Aussie journalist

"Sachin cannot cheat. He is to cricket what (Mahatma) Gandhiji was to politics. It's clear discrimination. "
- NKP Salve, former Union Minister when Sachin was accused of ball tempering

There are 2 kind of batsmen in the world. One Sachin Tendulkar. Two all the others.
- Andy Flower

"I have seen god, he bats at no.4 for India"
- Mathew Hayden

"Commit all your sins when Sachin is batting. They will go unnoticed coz even the GOD is watching"
- A hoarding in England

"Even my father's name is Sachin Tendulkar."
- Tendulkar's daughter, Sara, tells her class her father's name after the teacher informs them of a restaurant of the same name in Mumbai.
